I have been fortunate to have come across QM records for a western Garrison, and I note the inclusion of candles in it's record. I can't quite decipher the writing, but it looks like "Ada... Candles". I have been attempting to ferret this out, with no luck. I know that paraffin was a common material, and am wondering if this is a trade name of some sort. Anyone out there have a reasonable answer to this one?

Head on over to raggedsoldier.com, look up "Virginia's Verandah", and locate her well-written-and-cited article discussing candles, types used and commonality. You might be surprised.

"Ada... Candles".
Adamantine. Very common.
