1851 Pattern Blanket

I have an opportunity to obtain an older used CD Jarnigan 1851 pattern blanket with the stripe and US at a fairly reasonable price.

My only concernis that the blanket is more grey than brown and I thought they were brownish in color.

Thoughts?

I will go through the inspection reports that I have for the New York Depot. The one thing that you see OVER AND OVER is that they were looking for the 5 lb weight more than the color.

This blanket weights between 4 and 5 punds. I guess wear and tear will acoount for some weight loss.
