All,

Most of us have heard about the flooding throughout the Midwest. Along with the countless homes and businesses ruined by the rising waters, many historical sites have been damaged. The Heritage Emergency National Task Force has put together information on their web site about the damage done and resources needed to begin recovery. They also have posted a list of damage reports and requests for assistance. Though there appears to be only one listing directly related to Civil War era records being damaged in Indiana, there may be many more Civil War related sites damaged or destroyed by this natural disaster. Please visit the sites below for information on damage and help needed by those hit by the floods.
