To all:

For those that have been to Gettysburg in past years what or how much gunpowder do I need to bring. I shoot 1lb. shots so anyone with experience please let me know. I'd appreciate it.

I put the Artillery question in the wrong forum. If you could move it, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Unfortunately, this is a conference for which I do not have that authority. I would suggest that you just repost it down in the Military Discussion conference.

On the Federal side, the High Mucky Mucks are suggesting 125 rounds for the weekend. I'm aware of some organizations that are loaded for bear and plan on burning even more, and I know of some that are bringing considerably less.

Thats a lot of powder, I won't bring that much. Wallet gets a little thin after 75 LBs. If they want more they are going to have to get their checkbook out.

To offest the fuel and powder/primer costs, AHT is giving $200 per gun...won't cover it all, but not too shabby.

Mr. Anders

2 Hundred Dollars is a fair powder ration. Perryville, Kentucky last year gave a big fifty dollars. They say it isn't about the money, but for Artillery it is a consideration.

Just got back from Stanford, Kentucky 50lbs. Goex bulk 375.00. I drove and picked it up. Saved on Hazmet and delivery. Spent 40 on gas. My daughters car gets better than 20 mpg. Thats what it cost here in Kentucky if you know where to shop. How I wish for the Ol' days on fuel and gunpowder.

Doug:

If you do not mind, where is it that you are shopping?

If he's going to Stanford, KY, Corman's is probably the place.

Your right on the money. He does not have the store anymore. He operates out of the house. Best price in bulk here in Kentucky. His number is 1-606-365-2463. Call and set up a time if you plan on going. No real store hours if you know what I mean. Nice man and the best price around here. He's got some cheaper stuff but I went with Goex for Gettysbug-GAC.
