Hi.
I have some old South Carolina Military buttons that I am trying to find out some information on. They are gold, but don't look like the brass of today. They have never been used. On the back of them is says, Phila. Uniform Co Inc and Conshonocken Pa, with two stars, one on each side of the button.
I have tried numerous searchs, but to no avail. I was told that they might have been made in the 1960's, but would like to find out more information if possible before I put them on a coat.

Thank You,

Go to the library my friend! There is a book couple on the subject! The most famous is by a gentleman with the last name of Albert. I cannot remember the first name. If your library does not have it they can order it from another library.

Make sure you identify them and then verify the ID. I have an old South Carolina button my mother gave me when I was a kid. I thought it was from the 1960's (when I was a kid). Turns out to be a mint condition South Carolina Nullification Button. And to think I almost tossed it out once upon a time.

Just checked out the back mark in Alphaeus Albert's Record of American Uniform and Historical Buttons - no luck there. Without seeing the piece it would be tough to say. Good luck, Garrett
