Wire to use on lantern.

My brother has made a lantern, but we have no idea what to use for a handle. Would it just be ordinary wire or what? Seems like it's always the small details that stump me.

Depends upon what type lantern it is.

You might check on some sutler websites to see if anything looks similar to his, for what they used.
