I had posted information about the Reenactor Appreciation Weekend before the site went down. Just want to let you all know again about the upcoming weekend.

First, it is on the 3rd, 4th, & 5th of March of 2006. Yes, just a couple of weeks away. This is really turning into something nice. We have over 40 businesses participating and a great number of free events for the weekend.

On Friday, 3/3/06, we will begin registration at the Country Inn in front of the Village Outlets. This will go from 7-9 pm. We will be preparing special gift bags for the participants who have registered in advance. For those who may not get registered in time, we will still be providing the gift bags, but some items are on a first come, first served basis.

On Saturday, 3/4/06, we will again be registering participants from 10-12 at the Country Inn in front of the Village Outlets.

Continuing on Saturday, from 12-4 there will be a Civil War "Wargame" at Patriot Point on Steinwehr Ave in Gettysburg. There will also be door prizes at the game. During that time there will also be a special appearance by a Civil War book author.

There will also be a Tea at the Gettysburg Hotel from 2-4pm hosted by Mrs. Grant. There will be a fashion show and door prizes at the Tea.

From 7-9pm Saturday evening, there will be a Ball hosted by Boyd's Bears at their facility. They will be providing refreshments. There will be a band and a Caller.

For those who may not attend the ball, Farnsworth Tavern has brought in O' Be Joyful for a special appearance that evening.

I could go on, but please visit the website for a list of participating businesses and other events. There has been a lot of hard work for this event and we hope you will all come and enjoy some or all of the events.

Thank you.

Hello all,
We just wanted to thank all of you that have pre-registered for this event. We are very excited to see you all and talk with you.

Also, we will have a collection jar at every event that weekend to help the "Friends of Gettysburg" for the repair of the damaged monuments.

Thank you.
Judy
