Has anyone ever counted how many 60 grain cartridges you can get out of one pound of 3F powder?

Yes Sir, I have just finished loading tubes with the 60 Grains of 3F, and I counted 108. Most times I get about 110-115 per the one pound can.
Thanks, Keith Harper

Thanks, I kinda thought it was around the 100 mark.

One pound avoirdupois equals seven thousand grains. 7000 / 60 = 116.666... cartridges.

...not allowing, of course, for spillage.

Hallo!
And whether one is measuirng by weight or by volume... ;-) :-) :-)
(it takes forever to individually count out one "grain" spec at a time...)

Didn't you miscount between 5001 and 5003. Looks like you have to redo it.

Herr Schmidt:
Yes, but it also is based on Avoirdupois weight measurement. If one employs Troy weight or Apothecaries' weight, you need only count out 5760 of the little buggers for a pound.
Better yet, if you utilize the U.S. Government system of measurement, you need only worry about counting out 4690 grains since for every 3 grains you have, they'll take 1 (but use 2). :?
