Okay, I attended the Endview Plantation event last month and I had my mother recreate Anna Allen's 'Waterfall (http://www.thegracefullady.com/ladiessociety/hairwaterfall.htm)' hair style from Anna's "The Ladies'1860's Society (http://www.thegracefullady.com/ladiessociety/index.html)".

This is the finished version offered on Anna's page.

Her's turned out beautifully, so I thought I could very easily do the same thing, even though my hair is only just below my shoulders and somewhat thin. :???:

It didn't exactly work for me, but then neither did I have the right pins and bands. So, I'm hoping to attempt this again this coming weekend and will provide pictures this time.

Anyone else attempt this one and have any tips or suggestions? I would surely appreciate anything you might have to offer.

Kindest Regards,

~Kerri Baker

Lots of pomade. Before I had too much hair to get it to look good. Now that I have cut off 16 inches... Im not sure Ill be able to get it to work or not. But I have discovered that pomade is my new best friend.

Thank you so much Miss Dulcie for the tip. I'll get some tonight. I'm also doing the 'Curly Girl' thing, in hopes of helping my hair stay healthier and I'm having success with it, as I'm not loosing as much hair anymore. :D

Kind Regards,
