Just found out this past weekend that the militia uniform I was trying to get for Manassas was all wrong, as our unit (CS) was issued "hunting shirts" at centerville prior to the battle. They were issued in gray with black trim with gray pants. I have seen battle shirts. I have seen Rev War hunting shirts. Never seen one for our war, though. Since other units had battle shirts at 1st Manassas and called them battle shirts, we are assuming that these hunting shirts looked different. Does anyone have any input onto what a hunting shirt is suppose to look like. I would like to have one made, but I want it done right. If any one has any pics of one that would be great. Thanks for the help.
