Has anyone found a really good way in which to do this? I just got mine, and I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Needle sizes, tie offs, etc.

any help is greatly appreciated.

There are many ways to approach the project, but honestly, you should contact the vendor to get the most complete information.

Just a rather large needle. As far as the lettering, here's what I did.I got a grease pen and marked off the area in the center with the card that came with it.I then marked the points where the lines started at,and where they would finish at.Then,I just threaded the needle, and stitched away.I went back in and stitched in the open spots.Took me about an hour.If you don't want to use a grean pen,a good dark pencil will work as well.It doesn't have to be the best because they lettering n the blankets weren't going to be all that proper in the first place.Just as long as you can make out the US,you'll be fine.
