Size 7-3/8. This hat started out life as an Antietam style from Clearwater, then it had the misfortune of meeting me. :D I got it used and although it was the right size for me, it didn't fit my long oval head quite right. I got a hat stretcher and steamed the bejeezus out of it, but all I accomplished was to make it into a round top "beehive". It still doesn't fit me quite right, and it's marked SILAS CARRINGTON / Beaver Hats / Savannah in the crown. I couldn't convince a blind pig that I was a Southerner, God knows, nor can I see myself as one of Sherman's bummers who got the hat after helping Uncle Billy make Georgia howl, so I want to give this to a good ol' Rebel who wants a nice, broke-in hat to surrender underneath. I know you all is mostly poor, so all I want is enough to cover the cost of shipping (Priority Mail) and insurance and a little bit for my trouble. $15.00 ought to do it, but it's got to be Yankee greenbacks, not Rebel shinplasters. Money order only, please. Contact me via e-mail, not private message.

Heck,I'm interested. If it would be alright with you,I get paid next on the 14th.If you don't mind holding it for that long,I will get the mo out to you that day.But if someone is willing to pay for it earlier, then it would be understandable if you go with them.

Hat's spoken for by Johnny Gillette, he sent the earliest "I'll take it" e-mail. Btw, Mark Twain was a noted insomniac too :D
