View Full Version : Command and Staff College on line

The Command and Staff College correspondence program is now on line. All lessons and assignments are posted on the Civil War Living History Institute web site (www.cwlhi.org).

This will allow students to avoid the paper hassle and get faster feedback, speeding up the process of completion. The correspondence assignments will qualify you for attendance at the Basic and Intermediate phase resident weekends. For details on the course, visit the web site.

Because study materials are online, we will not be issuing the bound manuals. This will reduce the cost per phase to $15 (which covers instructional materials and meals at the resident weekends). You may download and print the readings if you like; if you are determined to have the bound manuals and have not yet received them, we can have them made for you; however, they are expensive (over 250 pages of original materials).

If you are interested in the C&SC, read the posting on the web site and contact us at the information address. When you register, you will receive a screen name and password to access the study materials and be assigned a faculty mentor.

We plan to open "branch campuses" in the midwest and the deep south to serve students who are far from the main school at Fort Washington, Maryland. However, the correspondence portion of the course is the same for everyone, so you may get started at your convenience.

There's a typo in the embedded link in the post. Just type in http://www.cwlhi.org/ in your browser.
