Just in time for Memorial Day Reading!

Just released, the revised edition of the classic history of the 26th North Carolina Regimental Band!
A Johnny Reb Band from Salem: The Pride of Tarheelia by Harry H. Hall

This is an outstanding story of a truly remarkable "band of brothers." These were Moravian musicians who signed on to fulfill their patriotic duty by performing music for the boys. They served from the spring of 62 till their capture in April of 65. This book has been out of print for years and is now available in an updated version. If you want to know what it was like for a Confederate Band, then this is the book you got to read.
