In a now deleted thread, the link for reporting fraud to the USPS was posted. The link is http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/fo...Complaint.aspx. The official policy of this forum towards transactions conducted through the Classified is "Buyer Beware" However, if you do believe that you were victim of false representation of an item and the item was shipped via the USPS, you can, as one option, post a complaint against the seller at this link.

Something that I failed to mention, according to what has been relayed to me, the more complaints that are lodged against an individual, the more likely that the USPS will proceed with a criminal case. Therefore, even if you feel that "it's just not worth the trouble", by registering a complaint, you will be assisting the next person who does have a major problem because there will be a documented history of prior abuse/fraud using the USPS.

Sorry, I had copied the link from an post that later got deleted for being outside the forum rules. The correct link is http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx

If Paypal is used to make the Payment and the item is never received, or not as described, they also afford some buyer protections and it may be worth it to open a dispute with their Resolution Center.

Jared,
Tomorrow morning go to the post office and inform them of whats going on.
Make sure you take the m/o reciept with you. Don't wait any longer. Let them get started on the case right away.

I got the Springfield today, it is as promised. I don't think the seller was trying to rip me off, but he certainly was not quick about sending the merchandise.

Moderator, please delete my comments on the thread.

In light of a recent trend on the forums, I thought I would bring this thread back to the light of day, it disgusts me that it is needed. I hope it helps.
