Whether you're looking to buy, sell or swap used Civil War items, the forums at CWReenactors.com are the best place to post ads and browse them. But I wanted to let you know of another web site where you can advertise at no cost and reach even more potential trading partners.
I recently re-launched http://www.reenactorclassifieds.com as a free marketplace for living historians across most major time periods, from Ancient Warfare to World War II. It's off to a good start, but not all that many people know about it yet, thus this announcement.
Posting ads and item photos is free and do-it-yourself, even for sutlers, although you do need to register and confirm a valid email address first. This is necessary to keep the spammers out, but it takes only a couple of minutes. Anyone can browse ads and contact advertisers without registering or logging in.
There are also categories for events, recruiting, services, opportunities for paid work, and even personal ads. I welcome you to have a look, and to use the site as your "back-up plan" to advertising or browsing here at CWReenactors.com.
