These forums have been used over the years to save countless acres of battlefield. To encourage this we would like to offer a forum specifically devoted to that end.

I would like to ask for some suggestions for preservation projects that are in need of support especially in the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana area. I am a member of the Cincinnati Civil War Round Table and am in charge of looking into perservation projects to support.
We have in the past year supported Johnson Island, Fort Hooper and are at present gathering money for Jefferson Davis' house in Mississippi.
Any suggestion you have would be greatly appreciated..
I thank you. :)

I humbly submit this site http://ky.gov/agencies/khc/civil.htm for CW sites in Ky. There are more of course, but they rarely get a notice. What I personally would like to see is more of an effort in Eastern Ky. Ivy Mountain was an early war battle. There has been some work there to preserve some of the original battlefield. Lots of great names from the war are associated with Ky.
If I may I would like to submit some info from the CCG Forum:
These are some of my rants to get a bit more recognition for the state of Ky. Perryville is a deserved place for preservation, but there was more than one battle fought in Ky. I am not trying to take a thing from Píville, but would like to see some of the effort expand to Eastern Ky.
Eric Tipton and Ken Cornett will be putting on the Rich Mountain show. I am sure that that will draw interest in that community and help to promote history and preservation.
Just my rant,
