The 2nd NJ Brigade is located throught NJ and Parts of NY and PA

The 2D New Jersey Brigade is a 501(c)(3) non-profit living history organization dedicated to the commemoration of the people and events of the American Civil War History through accurate and educational portrayals. We offer a unique integrated Brigade format internally composed of various military and civilian organizations.

The 7th Regiment Infantry, N.J. Volunteers, Company A, is a full reenactment Infantry Unit performing battle reenactments, living histories, commemorations, parades and presentations, and is also a line company in the 2d Regiment USV. The Regiment also includes the experienced 7th New Jersey Field Music Volunteers and the fully functioning 7th New Jersey Field Hospital.

The 2nd New Jersey Cavalry Volunteers, Company A, is a full reenactment Cavalry Unit offering both mounted and dismounted impressions. The 1st New Jersey Light Artillery, Battery A, is a fully functioning artillery reenactment group that now supports an original full scale 6 pound bronze cannon, restored in partnership with the Borough of Jamesburg, New Jersey.

Our headquarters offers portrayals for staff officers and enlisted men interested in Quartermaster, Signaling, Ordanance, and other military support services. The 22nd United States Colored Infantry (USCI), an impression within the 2nd NJ Brigade, is currently the only all African American CW reenacting unit in New Jersey and New York. The 22nd strives to portray and honor the sacrifices made by black citizens of our country during the CW. Finally, we offer a Civilian Contingent that supports various civilian impressions for men, women, and children.

The 2D New Jersey Brigade also offers Associate Memberships to Units whose members wish to have a working affiliation with the Brigade. To date, associate members include:

the 114 Pennsylvania Zouaves, Co. G
the 18th Pennsylvania Cavalry, Co. L.
the 15th New York Cavalry

The 2D New Jersey Brigade is affiliated with various SUV camps including
Custer Camp #17 and Francine Camp #6.

No sir we we had a last minute vote on the event and the majority voted against some of our members filtered in with some other units but the 7th was not there. We heard alot of great things about the event! I guess we will not see you til Neshaminy in April
