I just wanted to let everyone know that the start of the promised knitting
patterns were up on the web page (www.raggedsoldier.com) in the Needlework, Necessities, and Novelties section. There you will find, in addition to the nubia, patterns for a sontag, muffatees, and a braided scarf. This is just a start and we will be making additions as quickly as possible. We have included the original instructions, the original illustration if available, a modern translation with notes and a picture of the completed item. Please enjoy the patterns and happy knitting.

As time goes on, we will be including other types of needlework, in this
section, such tatting, perforated card-board, Berlin work, crochet,
embroidery, plain sewing, etc. If anyone would like to contribute, we do
welcome articles and translated patterns, as I don't do all the types of
needlework that I would like to include in the needlework section. We
would like this to be an informative area of the web page, even though
needlework is not the focus of the web page.

If you have any comments, please feel free to contact us.

Please forgive the cross postings but I wanted to make sure that I reached everyone who expressed an interest in the knitting patterns.
