Why does your tobacco pouches and poke sacks look exactly the same? Yet you charge 25 dollars for one and 3 for the other?

I would hope that would be a typo.....

1) The Poke bag and Tobacco pouches are two different patterns
2) The Tobacco Pouches are lined. I mostly use Silk in my tobacco pouches. The one pictured is made from cotton. That was my first one that was ever made, i have made bigger much better ones, that i havent been able to take pictures of. The one pictured is a simple two peice construction. The New ones have 4 seams. All seams are flat felled if it is unlined.

I Know many other guys who poke bags and tobacco pouches look the same, but the TP is more expensive.

If it bothers you too much, i will lower the price.

John,

I believe if you put current pictures, that will allay much of the speculation.

John,

I know this does not have anything to do with your housewives, but I do have a question that concerns a comment that you made. When you say that your tobacco pouches are going to have four seams, what exactly do you mean by 4 seams? To me, a four seamed bag is not a bag but a sewn together block of fabric. Can you iterate on or explain that a little more? I'm just curious on the construction of a four seamed pouch.:)

Jeremy,

I think I know what he is getting at with a four sided pouch. One of the AC vendors makes a "sweetheart" tobacco pouch that has four sides and a circular bottom. I've been trying to find one to reproduce for some time myself.

Eric,

Im glad you like it.

Jeremy,

Yes its similar to the sweetheart tobacco pouch.

I dont have any pics of mine, but corner clothiers have a pic of the their tobacco pouch.

Scroll down, then its the one at the right.

John,

I see now. I just had a hard time picturing it at first.

John,

Would you not be better served if you were to post pictures of your items and not have people look at other vendor’s items - that are "similar" to yours?

You would be able to sell much more if the items on your web page had photos, how is a potential customer to determine if he/she likes the item - or how does one determine the quality of the merchandise?

If your camera is not working properly, wouldn't it be wise to repair it or purchase another?

Just a word from a vendor - just good marketing practices. Also if it is on a public forum expect to have people criticize your items publically, and not with a PM.

The one Corner Clothiers produces is in no way a four sided piece of sewn cotton. Rather it is silk outer body with a leather lining and easily well worth the money they are asking because it is patterned from an original that they own.

John,

I have fixxed my camera, and am currently sewing one up for photos.

Pat,

I said mine were similar, and not the same. I was just using that photo for a reference while i snap some shots of the one i am working on.

Take a look at the bottom of Carter and Jasper's webpage. You will notice something: " © Carter & Jasper Mercantile."

That's called a copyright. Linking, posting, or pointing to another vendor's copywritten images or text for commercial gain is a violation of copyright law.

Actually, I think it was Corner Clothier, but the principle is the same. Using THEIR copyrighted images to sell YOUR goods is breaking the law, and asking for civil and criminal action. If you think you're broke now, try using the wrong copyrighted image and see how much the owner sues you for.
