I have some used items for sale. They’re not all Civil War era. No personal messages, please contact me at gnlafrance@hotmail.com. Money orders only. Questions? Please ask by item number. Clothing will be dry-cleaned before shipping.

Prices are pretty firm. Discounts for multiple purchases. Priority Mail shipping and insurance are included in the price. I’ll do my best to describe these items. No pics - the only way I can get pics onto my hard drive is to buy expensive Polaroid film and run them through a very user-hostile Canon scanner. There are too many items to make pics of each one.

I’m 5’7” and wear a 40 regular suit coat, 34 inch waist at the navel.

1. Civilian man’s sack coat, dark olive color, cloth-covered buttons, quilted chest, lined with black cotton. Three outside pockets with flaps, one inside pocket. $60.00

2. Schuylkill Arsenal pattern fatigue blouse, marked size 3, lined with brown jean. Lots of hand-stitching, field worn with some strained seams here and there. Maker unknown but definitely high quality material. Previous owner’s name and unit inked inside lining. $60.00

3. WahMaker “Railhead” cotton denim trousers, brown with black stripes, 32 W/36 I. These have riveted buttons stamped “WAH/MAKER/U.S.A.” Six suspender buttons, belt back. Good for S.A.S.S. $25.00

4. Dark blue canvas vest, military collar, brass-tone star buttons, three pockets, would fit a 42 or even a 44. Good for S.A.S.S. $25.00

5. Sky blue infantry trousers, J.T. Martin pattern, 34 W/32 I, creases need to be ironed out, paperback tin buttons. $25.00

6. Sky blue infantry trousers, Schuylkill Arsenal pattern, 34 W/30 I, paperback tin buttons. $25.00

7. US Navy trousers, 13 button flap front, three pockets, black plastic fouled anchor buttons, 34 W/30 I. $25.00

8. US Navy trousers, 13 button flap front, one pocket, cast pewter buttons, 34 W/30 I, not hemmed. $25.00

9. US Navy trousers, 13 button flap front, three pockets, polished pewter disk buttons, 34 W/29 I. $25.00

10. Webbing braces, 1.5” wide, brass wire hooks, leather tabs. $10.00 or FREE with any trouser purchase.

11. Top hat, black felt, New York Hat Co., 23.25” (size 7-1/2), 6.5” crown, 2.5” brim, needs to be brushed. $25.00

12. Tim Allen ‘Contract Hardee’ hat, size 7-1/4, maker’s mark ‘Lewis & Groshen/St. Louis’, could use a good cleaning or leave as is for that “campaigner” look. $25.00

13. US Navy 1940s era “Donald Duck” cap, size 7, leather sweatband, ribbon tally with “U.S. NAVY” in gold, very good condition. $50.00

14. Army enlisted man’s Model 1898 campaign hat, size 7-1/4, dark tan, nearly new. $35.00

15. Three “Gun-Cuff”(tm) Model #10900 wall-mounted locking handgun racks that will hold up to 3 handguns each. $35.00 each or all three for $90.00.

16. Large mess pan made by the Osmans. Heavy steel, rolled top, folded seams. Height is 5-3/8”, bottom 8-1/2”, top 11” inside. Will easily hold a gallon of soup, stew, beans, consommé or whatever. $30.00

17. Set of eight small tin-plated tumblers. Height is 2”, bottom 1-1/2”, top 2”. Break out a bottle of the cruel and drink to Old Abe and the Union :D. $10.00

18. Black leather civilian waist belt, marked 43, measures 43” from center of buckle to center adjustment hole. Ends are 1-1/2” wide, main part of belt is 2-1/2” wide. Heavy, solid cast brass buckle. Chicago fastener allows removing and replacing buckle. $10.00

19. Carbine cartridge box, black, 4” tall, 6” wide, 1” deep. Lined with soft, smooth leather. No tin or block inside. Sub-inspector’s mark on outer flap. $10.00

20. Late War .58 caliber musket cartridge box. US oval impressed into flap. Marked on back “Safariland Authentic Civil War Reproductions / 189 Monrovia, CA.” Well-made, with beading on edges and tight stitching. Galvanized "tins", large internal tool pouch. Comes with matching shoulder strap that has been expertly sectioned and re-sewn, but is still plenty long for you tall guys. No brass plates. $40.00

Joe, email is on the way.

Okay, everybody, I have a hard time being polite when I say things like this, but I'm in a great mood right now and think I can do it.

Please note that in the OP I asked that all contact be through email, not PMs; allow me to add now, not in the thread either.

Thank you!

PS I also mentioned something about pics, too.

#1. civilian sack coat is no longer for sale. I've found some problems... okay, my lovely bride pointed out some problems that her husband was too willing to overlook... and I'm going to see about repairing them before putting it up for sale again. Thanks to all who inquired about it.

#20. is on hold.

1. J.T. Martin pattern fatigue blouse, lined with what I think is gray satinette. Definitely size 2, 38 chest at the most. I traded an SA blouse that was slightly too big for this one, which is slightly too small - so when did I say I was a genius? Maker unknown but definitely high quality material. Correct Kersey weave, nice stitching, hand-finished buttonholes. $100.00

2. Top hat, black felt, New York Hat Co., 23.25” (size 7-1/2), 6.5” crown, 2.5” brim. Not authentic, definitely modern. $15.00

3. Three “Gun-Cuff”(tm) Model #10900 wall-mounted locking handgun racks that will hold up to 3 handguns each. $35.00 each or all three for $90.00.

5. 1860 Henry Special Short Carbine (made by Uberti), 16.25" barrel, .44-40 caliber. Comes with two rear sights, a short click-adjustable and a long ramp-style. I haven't fired it, and I found no clear sign it had ever been fired. Shipping to FFL required. $500.00.
