Hello,

I have a '61 Springfield bought from Zimmerman about two years ago that I need to sell. I have some medical bills I need to pay. I have only used it about 4 or 5 times. It has been well cared for. The only thing different from when it came out of the box is that I changed out the nipple it came with for one of those with the larger hole. I will include the sling and bayonet that came with it. I would like to get at least $575, plus shipping, insurance for it. I think new one's that are not defarbed come off the rack at about $535 now, so I feel it is a pretty fair deal.

Thank you!

Zimmerman does not make guns himself but rather modifies guns for various reasons to include making them more historically correct.

Zimmerman is a gunsmith who corrects errors on the Italian imports. I have two of Zimmerman's reworked Armi Sport Springfields and am very happy with both of them. Some people feel his marks are not quite right but I've compared mine to originals and can not tell the difference. Also I am one of the few that rarely has a misfire, not sure what he changed about the cone and flash channel but neither of my muskets misfire very often.

Here's his website for more info: http://www.edsmart.com/jz/#repros

A slightly more appropriate wording might be that Zimmerman is a gunsmith who among other things corrects errors. He does do other gunsmithing repairs and modifications.
