For leathers, knapsacks, brogans,I suggest Robert Serio. He does great work.Is really high quality, authentic, and he is a nice guy to talk to.
I suggest John Wedeward and Chris Sullivan for clothing.John makes the best sack coats, and Chirs' trousers are second to none.Dan Wambaugh makes good shirts,SA jakets, drawers, and trousers as well.
Chirs Semancik is the best for forage caps. They are,in my opinion, the most authentic cap you can buy.
Nick Sekala and Don Smith are good "rounded" vednors. They have most items you need.Everything from drawers to leathers to shirts,to...Nick aslo makes authentic gaiters.Orchard Hill is the place for canteens.Just tell them which style and they will do the rest. When you order, though, get it with beeswax liner.

I would recommend getting the canteen without a beeswax liner, as I have seen no evidence of this actually being done. Also toss Greg Starbuck in there for a forage cap.

Drew,
Also if you don't find what you are looking for on Nick Sekela's website, bear in mind it is still being built. If you are in need of anything at all give me or one of the other reps a shout.

Nope I sadly don't remember Tim's website. The majority of my federal items came from Ted Quednau, Joe Hill, Joe Blunt and Nate Petersburg. As far as the "big name vendors" go, I like Sekela's work, Chris Daley's Work and Dan Wambaugh's Work. But as out of those three I own one thing (Daley's fed trousers) that any made. Joe Blunt is someone to consider for anything as well as any of the other mentioned vendors.

Do you have contact info for Scott? I'd like to have a pair of his gaiters for an Iron Brigade impression at the end of August - I had a pair he made that I wore at the 125th of First Bull Run but those are long gone. Plus, we were in the 21st Ohio years ago before he moved to Wisconsin.

You could either borrow or buy mine....haven't used them in awhile....and when I was doing 2nd WVI didn't wear them all that often then.

sorry to let you know but scott is on a break till round labor day so he can catch up on the orders he has, he had a machine problem and was falling behind he is up and running now but playing catchup! He is a great asset to this hobby he realy makes like a few dollars profit per pair hardly worth all the trouble but he does it!
