The Michigan Cavalry Brigade is recruiting mounted and dismounted troopers.

Under G. A. Custer's leadership this Brigade participated in every major Eastern Campaign, and many minor ones, from Gettysburg to Appomatox and suffered more battle casualties than any other Union cavalry of equal stregnth.

Today the spirit and heritage of the Michigan Cavalry Brigade is remembered through the efforts of the MCBA troopers and supporters who are from throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes area.

Members are hard fighting, well disciplined, exceptionally trained and very active reenactors. Members of the MCBA annually participate in reenactments and tacticals throughout the country, compete in the National Cavalry Competitions (mounted drill champions 2004, 2006), participate in school programs, historical site maintenance and restoration, etc.

If you are ready to accept the challenge of becoming one of the best trained and hardest fighting cavalry units in the hobbly today - we'd love to hear from you.

Are you coming down to Conner Prairie in May 18-20 for a drill/warmup?

Hello RJ,

The MCB will be in Sacremento, KY that weekend. "Forest's First" and a good cavalry battle. We will probably be riding Reb with the 6th KY.

I hadn't heard of that training weekend at CP before you mentioned it.
