The Anvil shoot is pretty cool.

One time we were drillin' on one end of the field, and they were shootin' a Cohorn at the other... Well our capt'n was walking backwards leading us out, and well let's just say I never want to be that close to an iron ball being hurled through the air again.....

My dad could tell a story about anvil shooting. My G-grandfather had a blacksmith shops so my dad and his brothers decided to fire off an anvil gun resulting in a hole in the shop roof, a broken horn on one anvil, and some very sore and red rear ends.

"City Boy" question: Just how close does one have to be to ignite the powder? A fuse.......or just the guy with the biggest stones?

This feller is assuming that the process ruins the anvils.

Possible, but rare. :D

I'll be spinning at the Relic Room in Columbia South Carolina this weekend. If I was not, I would be at Bridgeport. Y'all can thank me for the fine weather, for if I did go, it would be 12 degrees. It always is when I go to Bridgeport.

Kind Regards,

Sorry I missed Kennesaw last year.
Yea we are the 21st Ga now, well over half left to start the 21st. You know how those things go and no need to air dirty laundry. Everyne you fell in with at Kennesaw will be with us at B-port and I look forward to meeting you. We will be sightseeing off site come Saturday post battle so keep an eye out.

Mrs. Lawson,
You must have been there last year...Brrrrr....

I believe last year saw us lost in the 18th century, treking high in the Carolinas.

Last time I was a Bridgeport, the Fry Bread man could not get the bread to rise with a high that morning of 15 degrees, and we spent the whole time cookin' cause folks wuz hongry. Sister and I got three honest marriage proposals.

Chamber pot froze on Friday night, and did not thaw until I brought it into the house on Sunday night.

I tell you, if I came, I'd be the Jonah, and it would snow........

My regards to the Ross Brothers---I hope it warm enough for them to display their......attributes.

Mrs. Lawson,

Then you must have been there last year. During Saturday's battle last year it did begin snowing a little bit while the cannons were going off. It was like we jarred the flakes out of the sky.
