Does anyone know where I can find a good, authentic sewing kit (housewife)? I'd like to find one off of the internet, if you all know where to find one.

If you want to buy one from me,

I charge 20.00. Handsewn from cotton drill/duck and homespun cotton. Cotton ties, One pocket and one peice of kersey to put your needles and pins in. It includes needles, thread and beeswax to wax your thread. My housewifes are Patterend off the USCC housewife(United States Christian Commission)

Also may i suggest Kathy Bradford, she has nice housewifes made from silk.

Cheers!

John

You might want to check out Joe Hoffman - he's got a couple of styles in stock. http://www.skilletlicker.com/servlet/Detail?no=40

Kathy Bradford at preservation parcels makes the best I have ever seen.
Plus a portion of the costs goes to battlefied preservation.
