I am now looking for a pair of inexpensive women's shoes. My sister is just starting out and seeing as she is young her dresses are short and expose her feet, shoe I need convincing shoes. I dont want to get great shoes and have her not continue reenacting. If anyone has a used pair, 9 or 9 1/2s that would be great.

Have you been surfing ebay? Nothing there now in the reenactment/repro section, but you never know when something will pop up. Another option is to buy the correct shoes and sell them if she does not continue - folks are always willing to buy something gently used if they can get it for less than the new!:D And those sizes are pretty popular.

Besides she may want to keep reenacting, so why buy junk and throw away money.

I just got a pair of reproduction women's boots from Blockade Runner in TN. Each pair is made from an original in their collection and they are fabulous boots. They sell for $69.95 per pair but look like you paid at least twice as much for them. And to top it all off, Blockade Runner's customer service is stellar. I highly recommend them. If your sister does not continue in the hobby, you can always sell the boots like someone else said.
