On behalf of the moderators here at Civil War Reenactors Forum, I want to thank those of you who have helped contribute to making this a better forum. In the last couple of years both the quality of submissions and conversations as well as decorum and ettiquette have improved dramatically. This forum was designed for the beginner in mind, as opposed to some other web-based forums, but also has tried to offer something for those who want a little heavier historical content. This site was known for the former, but not so much for the latter, but through constant effort, moderation from several volunteers, and more importantly thanks to some very knowledgeable and skilled historians, the threads on here have been surprisingly enlightening. Lately, there have been quite a few threads that have brought out some very detailed research and conversation that has lit up my mailbox with thanks and positive comments, and I wanted to thank those of you who have helped turn up the history a notch. We will always entertain the beginner questions, and we'll probably always have the same "who makes the best" or "how to I dry out a canteen" type of questions, but more and more this is becoming another source to turn to for answers on some harder subjects. Thanks again...

As a repeat of what I said in a previous post about this forum and others, as a user, Thank You to the Mods & Mr. Szabo.

I concur with these sentiments. It is good to have such forums where a strange group of eccentrics can converge, share information, debate, learn, and perhaps, improve. Like my daily cup or two of coffee, this has become the proverbial "monkey on my back", but in a good way. Keep up the good work. Be back tomorrow.
