I have a pair of sky blue foot trousers avaliable. Sutler Row quality. The crotch has been reenforced. Light soiling. About 33w x 32l. No holes, they are just to small for me. $25 with free shipping. Also contact Andrew Verdon, aka Forrestcavalryman on this forum. He makes quality tack at great prices on belts and straps to halters, bridles, leads and link straps.

Hey Steve,
Welcome again to the wild and woolly world of cavalry! I know you posted on the AC, but I am not 100% certain of where you are seeking to take your impression in terms of authenticity. If you aren't too picky about what your impression looks like, then a blanket call for used stuff may work out just fine for you.
Either way, I would strongly recommend that you not try to buy other people's cast off's. Particularly in the cavalry, it is much better to outfit guys with new, quality gear in decent shape than it is to patch together stuff. A lot of cavalry stuff out there is junk both in terms of accuracy AND construction, and the stuff can be dangerous, and very costly in the long run.
Take care,

I agree with above if you can buy quality do it. If a pair trousers are keeping someone from saddle time, see above its always something to keep in the bottom of the loaner trunk. They are to small for anyone I ride with to help them galvanize and to small if something happened to mine. The jacket is ok, just the same stuff you find at any sutler. I just got it because we have shortage of blue and I don't have enough time to finish my own uniforms. You never realize how many hand stiches go into a frock until you are in need of it last week. Real life seems to get in the way a lot.
