Anyone interested in playing?

I'd like to hear from anyone in the DC,MD or VA area that would be interested in getting an authentic period, minstrel style group together. For fun only... novices welcome! Please no professionals looking to make $$.
My idea is that this would be a mess type situation for events in a campaign style setting. Any ideas are welcome! Sound crazy?
