Purchased this several weeks ago from Mold and Gun Shop of Jackson Ohio. It was another impulse buy, but I simply do not have the time to complete it and would like to pass it along to someone who desires such a project.
Would be great for civilian impression or possibly very early war Confederate militia. I have seen many examples of these converted to percussion.
I have fitted the buttplate, started fitting the tang and started to polish the lock.
Standard grade black walnut stock, the toe on the buttplate is chipped, but will smooth out nicely with the buttplate, will just have to be careful. All the mounts are brass, comes with M&G French lock, and 41" barrel .62 caliber, one of the smoothest bores I have ever seen in replica barrels.
M&G certainly knows how to make a barrel.
3 weeks ago these parts cost me $675 out the door.
I am willing to let them go for $600 and I will cover shipping or I will consider trades for a replica Springfield musket (must have good bore)
