Armisport defarbed musket s/n 17883 defarbed when purchased as new from Todd Watts. Reluctantly selling due to yet another downturn at work and want to insure funds to attend Shiloh. Besides, I do own another musket and have not used this since becoming an officer and is too nice to use as a loaner.

E. Bond Version: With correct sling swivels and square eared lock plate washers. Stamped “A. Davis” and “VI” in the ram rod channel; “BSAT cartouche” on the right side of the stock; “BSAT”, “EB” and two English Crowns stamped underside to rear of trigger guard; “anchor over S” cartouche on top of stock forward of butt plate screw; serial number moved to underneath barrel and stamped “Barnett” and “IV”; appropriate proof marks on barrel.

Additional defarbing done by myself: Ram rod neatly stamped in the correct position “T&CG” (Thomas & Charles Gilbert – makers); non period bluing on barrel removed and cold blued for a more period correct appearance; all butt plate, trigger guard, and lock plate screws convex heads machine surface ground flat and cold blued based on originals I have seen. I replaced the original defarbed lock plate with the CNC manufactured correct lock plates as offerd by BRI.

Includes the following: Todd Watts defarbed Italian Salter bayonet with blued socket (not as tight a fit as I would have liked, but better than a Paki), correct sling with correct buckle; generic tompion; and English nipple / cone protector with correct iron attaching ring (I purchased this direct from England).

Also includes a correctly tarred musket sack made by Claude Sinclair and silicone treated sleeve.

Condition: I used this maybe three seasons as a 1st Sergeant thus avoiding the clang / banging of stacking. A few insignificant marks that are hardly noticeable. Brass and ram rod has nice patina. Middle barrel band screw is missing the washer but I have a replacement for it somewhere around here. Always lovingly maintained. Never live fired. Musket is gently used condition overall with nice patina from caring use.

Price: Asking $800 plus $30 shipping (Includes insurance and SIGNATURE Delivery Confirmation. Pay Pal add 3.6% for their fees. Will also accept a USPS money order. Other payment method, PM me.

Yes, a new defarb by Todd Watts is $869, but when you add in the additions of CNC Lock Plate ($89), Sling ($25), Defarbed Bayonet ($90), English Snap Cap ($20), and Musket Sack ($30), all of which are in great condition and add up to $254, and the additional defarbing work, the price seems reasonable to me. And no wait – in time for Shiloh!

Questions? PM me, but first “I’ll take it gets it”. Pay Pal payment expected within 48 hours. Mailed payments within five mailing days. Shipped within two days of payment.

Ah! I remember that one, James. It was a really nice-looking one. Wisco, you got a nice one.
