Hey Nate, There are all the common accounts and biographies you can find on a google search....... but here is one I found at my local library, they were going to throw it out as it had not been checked out since 1996!

"Reminiscences of a Confederate Soldier" "Scott's Cavalry" "A True Story - Full of Interesting Events" by Byron Smith

It seems Byron joined Scott's Cav. (1st Ga., 1st La., 3rd Tenn.), and got himself captured and sent to Point Lookout Md. where he spent the rest of the war.
