Folks,
In this post, I am offering a great item made by Nick Sekela that is (as far as I know) no longer available anywhere. This is a dark grey cotton knit undershirt that he he made about 6 years ago in the days when he was selling through the Jersey Skillet Licker.
These shirts were only available for a short while and I have not seen them since. As with all Sekela made items this is top quality. As per original undershirts, this example is machine stitched with the exception of the button holes. The shirt features a three button placket and the buttons are paper backed tin. The sleeves are 3/4 length and are left unfinished. It also prominently features an exact reproduction of the Joseph Lee maker's mark on the front. During the war Lee held huge clothing contracts for the Federal army and made over 100,000 undershirts.
This is a lightweight and extremely comfortable shirt that was worn at two events and has been in storage for quite some time. The shirt is darn near in like new condition with no rips, stains, tears, or structural defects.
You won't find one like this anywhere else. The shirt will best fit a 38-40 chest and may fit a 42 but a bit snugly. I paid $85.00 for this one brand new. It will ship to your door for $60.00. It's a bargain price for this shirt. I have posted pics here. Please email me with interest or questions and thanks so much for looking.
