Greetings,
I have the following muskets for sale:
1 Original Harpers Ferry produced pattern 1795 Type III .69 caliber smoothbore musket for sale. The lockplate is dated 1816 and it was converted to percussion in the early days of the conflict. This would be a unique piece to use for living history programming during the 150th anniversary years. Following the war, this piece had it's stock cut down and it was utilized as a shotgun. Since then it's been restored with an original forearm that was salvaged from an 1816 stock that was shattered at the wrist. Additionally the end cap, middle barrel band and rammrod are reproductions. This piece is missing it's sling swivels, cone (nipple), it has some pitting and has a broken tang at the tang screw. This is a unique musket would be a great project to finish restoring to use for living history programming. With a date of 1816 it could have been used in a number of early nineteenth century conflicts including the Seminole Wars, The Black Hawk War, The Mexican-American War, and of course the American Civil War. It would be cool if this nearly 200 year old musket could talk! Price: $675.00 plus shipping.
1 Reproduction civilian flintlock fowler. This is an older custom made reproduction that features blacksmith made hardware, a maple stock with a dark patina finish, and a wooden rammer. The furniture is iron and the .62 caliber smoothbore barrel has been browned. I am not sure of the maker and purchased it used a few years ago. This is a nice piece that would be great for an early war Confederate impression. Price: $400.00 plus shipping.
Photographs are available upon request for seriously interested parties. Please email ddorwig@gmail.com for additional information, please do not PM.
Thank you,
Darrek
