Folks,
Those of you who are regular subscribers to the Civil War News already know about this development, but the *rest* should know: Our own Terre Lawson, the Spinster, just joined the ranks of the "Cover Girls" when her photograph was featured on Page One (along with that of Robert Orrand, both above the fold) in the June issue of the newspaper, as illustrations of a story about the developments of the Blue-Gray Alliance concerning civilians at their upcoming 150th anniversary events.
Hopefully, the bright glare of publicity will not prove to be too distracting and they will continue to rub elbows with us, the Little People.

The only bright glare here today, Julio, is the one in my eyes when I try to mow the orchard. Corded bonnets are useful in modern life too.

Now if it will just cool off enough so I can finish working with these bee hives before the weekend.

Why, Mr. Biederman, I am already planning on a gold-plated clawfoot bathtub for the Mayor's outhouse at Wilson's Creek. I plan on carrying it with me to the Wednesday night campout on NPS ground.
I haven't seen the article yet, but I applaud Julio's desire to highlight the Civilian's at future events. I hope we can provide a rewarding experience for all who want to join us. I know Gen'l Way and Col. Crowder are doing their all to see that we do.
