Moderator translation: He appears to be searching for a used Civil War tent, probably a common tent (AKA wedge tent), with poles and pegs.

You're looking for a:

Used "Common" or "A" tent with stakes and poles?

A used "Wall" tent with stakes and poles?

A used "Shelter" or "Dog" tent(two halves) with stakes and poles?

A used "Hospital" tent with stakes and poles?

What about a "fly" for two of those four?

Just an FYI, nobody's going to ship you stakes and poles. (well, maybe for the right price)

All of the above are tents used by re'nacters.;)

Another helpful moderator note.......

BobbyJoe,

Go here. Look at the pictures. Like Eli says, there is more than one kind---Figure out which type of reenactor tent you want.

Now, I'm betting you want a wedge tent. Then you have another decision to make. Size matters.

Here's the chart from one manufacturer with pricing for new. Look over to the right and see the 'set up kit' price.

http://www.pantherprimitives.com/catalog20/catalog%2020%20for%20website%2039.pdf (http://www.pantherprimitives.com/catalog20/catalog%2020%20for%20website%2039.pdf)

This gives you an idea of what new ones go for. Lots of fellers go down to Home Depot and buy the lumber themselves to make the poles and ridge, or if they own timber land, cut some saplings. This is much cheaper than buying a set up, or shipping one--which is why you see used tents for sale, but nobody selling the set up--unless you go pick it up.

Now, if it was me, and I was Goin to First Manassas, where it is guaranteed to be Hot, Hades Hot In A Hayfield, I'd get me a fly, stake one side to the ground and put the other side up on two sapling poles. This gives you shade and more air circulation.

The downside to that is--well, at this point the army did have tents and lots of them.
