Folks,
I'm in the market for a pair of cordary trousers.I am going to buy the material myself,then send it to the maker.I am wondering what the measurements and such are on period cordary?I.E. the space between the rows and such.From what I was told,I could get it at a fabric shop but just need to know the whole spectrum of cordaroy.Any help is,well,help.Thank you and have a pleasent evening.

Email Speedy Merrick at Corner Clothiers. Or the staff at Carter and Jasper. Both sell civilian clothes. they have a handle on proper corduroy.

Do you know if One of those two Vendors,
sell Cord Trousers that would work for Federal Fatigue Duty.

or am i correct, that maybe troops got these as an item while garisoned at a fort or something?

No, they would not wear cords on duty. There is a uniform for that function.

There was a lot of docmentation as I recall for Federal soldiers wearing corduroy but that's another topic for the military forums. However, the cord wale didn't change for troops versus citzens.
