Anyone have a list of sulters for Cedar Creek? Im in the market for a blanket, rifle, and a cartridge box.
Edit: That would be a civilian or 51' Fed blanket. A 2 band Enfield. And a 57' or 39' pattern cartridge box w/ sling.

To add, does anybody know of any period photographers that will be going?

While I'm hardly in the know in these matters (who's coming and who isn't), if past years are any barometer, I don't think you'll have a problem acquiring 2 of the 3. The 2-banded Enfield may be hard to find there.

Yea the blanket will be fairly easy. There will probably be 2 good vendors as far as the cartridge box goes. And I've called around to the big name sutlers and the 2 band Enfield seems like a false hope.

Bill,
The places to stop into are:
EJ Thomas (Their leather goods as well as as Nick Duvall)
S&S Sutler (Nick Duvall and EJ Thomas leather goods)
CJ Daley (Tim Welch leather goods)
All three should have an array of blankets.

Thanks Joe. Now all I gotta do is find another acceptable long arm.

Model 1847 - 1842 smoothbore might be a good choice. Easy to find a good one (usually) and is good for a variety of CS impressions as well as being the most comfortable weapon at right shoulder shift I have ever carried.

John,
Most years that I have been set up on "the row", Mr. Szabo has been there as well as a couple of other artists, should be no trouble getting your likeness captured.

Joe,
From what Ive heard Szabo isnt going to be attending. And I'm looking for more of a later war weapon to compliment my M41.

I think you're right. He was at Perryville last weekend and I think he was headed to Missouri after that and will skip Cedar Creek this year. I think Gibson's studio will be set up taking images though at Cedar Creek.

Darn it! I had talked with him about this matter at Manassas and he wasn't sure if he was or wasn't at the time. He's definitely a great photographer and I guess he's just doing what's best.
