Just a reminder to any redlegs or aspiring redlegs putting off registering to the last minute that registration closes for the Bedford Artillery School 11 March.

To answer some recent questions in the forums on exactly what the school will tackle. In keeping with artillery tradition and with what the veterans experienced … it is drill, drill, drill, and then drill some more. The focus is on the basics, concentrating on School of the Piece (per HBF) for #1 through #7 and gunner. And also planned, as time permits, is field drill for moving the piece by hand, limbering and unlimbering and doing this when in battery. There are classroom lectures and discussions covering subjects such as “Correct uses, applications and expectations of recreated artillery” and “Chain of command for problems or other “situations” … and for your entertainment Friday and Saturday evenings some artillery traditions.

Registration form can be found at: http://www.wmhf.org/

Posting this for Chris.
