Does anybody have suggestions where one could sell books about the Civil War online (besides ebay)?

Didn't see that little section down there. Thanks!

The classified section here is a good choice if you are selling recent books that are commonly in print. Put a reasonable used book price on them and they will move. Folks who are patient and willing to wait the weeks that 'media mail' or 'library rate' takes will save on shipping.

If however, you are dealing in out-of-print regimental histories or other rare books, or the need to bring absolute top dollar is there, then you'll be best served by contacting one of the specialty auction houses. Your books may sit for 3-4 months until the next large auction comes around.

Contact me by pm for links to those houses if you are selling those sorts of rare volumes.

I've got recent editions only. Nothing really rare. The "books" section of the form is pretty baren. Is it okay to post books in the military items classifieds instead? Don't want to break any rules here...

I raised the question because some folks get really bent out of shape if you don't follow the rules, written or unwritten, to a tee.

You can use the military classifieds for books pertaining to the military side, and civilian classifieds for citizen's books. The book section is for discussions only, not for selling.
