I'm posting this for a pard of mine that lives in Harrisburg PA, can travel to G-burg to meet for delivery. Model 1842 smoothbore Springfield in great condition. I can not post a pic but it is in fine shape, comes with a sling, bayonet (no scabbord) original worm, brass brush and mop for $825. It is defarbed. Please contact me for info.
Thanks

No takers on this wonderfully defarbed smoothbore that is in awesome shape with cleaning kit and bayonet (not a cheap Indian one)?

Price is now $800 plus any actual shipping, great price for this defarbed '42 with cleaning stuff and bayonet and sling, I might be able to find a scabbord for this too.

Who did the Defarb work and what was done to it?

I am not sure who did the work, all modern markings were removed from the barrel.

How about the front site? Does it have the correct brass front blade or not?

It does not have the brass front sight, spring is good and tight, original worm and a good repro bayonet come with it, not a cheap Indian one

I was at an event today- Neshaminy and saw a brand new defarbed '42- lockplate dated 1847 like the one my pard has, the price $825. This did not include a sling, bayonet or cleaning stuff or original worm....this one is a bargain.
