This appears to be one of the first of these produced by Navy Arms Company back during the Centennial years. It carries serial number 364, and has the early style markings. Frame is very nicely color casehardened with silvery tones, and marked NAVY ARMS CO. Top of barrel has the same marking, in the Colt style with a line before and after. Right side of barrel by wedge is marked Made in Italy and script initials G.U. No other markings, again pointing to an early manufacture date.
The action is crisp and precise, and the cylinder lock up is very tight. Cylinder is not engraved and there are a couple of very small spots of deterioration to the blue. Otherwise excellent and a fine example of the quality replicas from this early production.
Should be a good shooter or officer/cavalry sidearm.
