The descendants of the Confederate expatriates that started colonies in Brazil are having a gathering/festival on 11 April 2010 called "Festa Confederada 2010": http://www.fdasbo.org.br/ . They consider themselves to be some of the most "unreconstructed" & literally "most southerly". Looks to be a mix of heritage reenacted & 21st century Brazil.
Whilst the site text is in Portuguese, the video is mostly in English. You can copy & paste the text to any number of sites that will translate to English for free.
An expatriate Texan friend (living in Brazil) tells me this is a very interesting place/event to visit.
