There's really something for everyone at this concert in that all styles of what we've come to know as Civil War music will be represented. My band, the Camptown Shakers will primarily be doing popular songs of the period that originated on the minstrel stage. The Libby Prison Minstrels, if I'm not mistaken, will be performing a mix of songs including those with a more patriotic or sentimental flavor. The Philadelphia Brigade Brass Band will fill the hall with the powerful sound of the military brass band, capable of instilling courage and determination into wavering ranks. We'd love to see you there.
