Need a Muslin or Cotton shirt pattern

Hey Folks,
I got my wife a very nice sewing machine for christmas, and now she has agreed to make me acouple basic shirts for reenacting. she has tried to make acouple of muslin or cotton shirt federal issued shirts, but she has not found a good pattern. Does anyone have one that they could point me to. Dont need anything special just a good 3 button pattern would be great.

I'm sure someone else will point you in a different direction, but try Galla Rock. Their patterns are cheap and they give some great "help me I'm stuck" over the phone guidance.

Both Homespun Patterns and Charlie Childs has Federal issue shirt patterns (but they weren't made out of cotton, they were wool dommet flannel), and for a basic square cut civilian shirt pattern, they can be found at Galla Rock, Homespun, Period Impressions, or make your own with original shirts to go by from the book "Thoughts on Men's Shirts" by William Brown

Simplicity # 2895 you can find it at wal-mart for like $5 bucks it has a shirt, vest, and frock. Shorten the placket and you'll have nice shirt. Size 38 40 42 & 44

There was some past discussion of this pattern on the Sewing Academy forum, and after re-reading it tonight, I remembered the discussion saying that it wasn't much better than costume grade, and that the pattern was very much post-war. It'll work if you're doing 1880's and 90's Cowboy Action Shooting, but not very helpful if Civil War is your goal. Definitely go with something tried and proven, based upon real originals and not costume grade.

I'll second Ross here. Stay away from costume grade outfits and patterns if you are aiming for Civil War era clothing. There is a huge difference in the make. Avoid the cheap method by all means. You'll thank yourself in the end.
