OK, 2 have been sold. Remember these are the last ones I'll ever make, made in America by The Tinsmith.
I used to get all of my tin stampings from Frazer Brothers Sutlery, but their not selling to me any more. If they were I would have Bullseye and NC Star canteens and smoothsides too.
So get your's while I have them in stock, PayPal payments get shipped same day.
I'll also stamp any NY Depot canteen with the maker name, A Jewett (FREE)

What to do with a new Canteen
Well you have a new Hot Dipped canteen, and this will tell you how to care for it.
First thing you want to do is clean out the inside; this is done with Baking Soda. I wash all of the canteens with dish soap and water before they leave the shop.
What you want to do is to pour in about a table spoon of Baking Soda in the spout, then fill the canteen half full with warm water. Put the stopper in and shake up the water. Then pour out the water. (You will want to do this after each use and before storing the canteen) Then take Hot water, fill the canteen and pour it out. Then leave the stopper out and let the canteen dry with the spout pointed down.
This way you will have clean tasting water for the next use.

I have been asked why I don't put in the hole in the strap keeper for the Jack chain.
I'll put the hole in if your doing Late war (64'-65') and I'll even throw in the chain.
But if your doing early war, use the Jute cord. Because there was no hole then.

Also if you want to buy more then one canteen, I'll combine the shipping and give you a lower rate.
