This is a custom built M-1855 type I Rifle Musket I built for competition shooting. It is the early Rifle Musket type with the 400 yard base long range rear sight located approximately 6 inches from the breech.
The barrel was made by Mike Yeck, .580 bore dia. with a 1-72 rate of twist
This barrel also uses an original 1855 breech section and breech plug.
The lock plate is new made but is fully functional Maynard system. The hammer and all the internal parts are also original.
The Stock is made of Cherry wood and is also new made relatively speaking.
All the furniture is also original, except for the bras nose cap which is screw held instead of the proper rivets. $2,000.00 plus ship & insure.
Comes with leather sling and tompion.
