Now, now, Matt,

You know that one of the days you get to give the whipping and the other day you get the whipping...

However, the Sunday morning "tactical" in the woods is a far different subject!

Regards, see you on the march,

Right now, y'all have 155 infantry registered and we'ans have 142 infantry registered.

Of that number of 297 total I wonder how many are actually marching infantry. Historically a lot of units pre-register their entire roster only to have a portion actually show up. If only 60% actually show there could only be 170 or so on the field.

And on the field of that total might even be subjective. As with all of the local battalion events, this included, there are a bevy of civilians in supportive family roles that are on the rosters.

I will be very happy to see 125 rifles on each side at least. Being the last battalion event of the year we just may see most of them come out of the woodwork.

And if the weather follows the same historical trend of the last four years, this weekend being cold with some rain Hartford City next week may be warm and dry. We can only hope!

Well, I was GOING to go... and then they cut our pay across the board at 10% and cut our hours back at work. This is one of the reasons I ended up retiring from command.

Always look forward to my seeing (and fighting against) the good folks in the 49th!

Jas, you are right....lets hope the rain comes this weekend and not next...me thinks that HC might be a bit on the chilly side, like it was 2 years ago...

According to the Weather Channel, the extended forecast for Hartford City will be Friday: cloudy with a high of 57, low of 42, Saturday: Cloudy with a high of 60, low of 40. Sunday: Sunshine with a high of 57, low of 38. A 20% chance of precipitation, each day.

But as always with extended forecasts, they're as changeable as..., well, the weather...
