(Sigh) I remember when we used to get to do goofy stuff like that back during the Bicentenial. Indian raids with the Butler's Rangers and the like.

These guys look a mix of like "actors" and reenactors. I been in a few events like that this that went horribly wrong because reenactors can't "act." A couple of "raids on Gloucester, Massachusetts" are why they don't do them anymore. No casualties but one nearly ended in a fist fight.

Another sure sign, the folks with the little blue and green houses are working over time. The Wife sounds like she is going to be one of the golf cart ladies this year. She is all excited.

You startled me there, Scott. Had there truly been a raid on Gloucester, Massachusetts, I could always call in the big guns and get there with reenforcements. I'm in some town called Woburn, Mass. at the moment, so it probably wouldn't take long for me to gather a local militia march to Gloucester.:D

They are holding the annual contest for kids to get to ride in the haulers. It is fun to see just how excited the kids get by just riding in the trucks. The truly cool thing is getting to see those drivers maneuver those trucks in the infield.

Scott, I was just in Gloucester today, and I saw no pirates! Well, there were a certain type of pirates, a rather harmless kind of them all over the waterfront. ;)
